Your skin reflects your health. Your body canvas and one of its most important properties. And the only skin you will ever get, so your daily routine means everything.

Are You Ready to Manage?

Start simple. Before you spend a fortune on skincare products, check out your current skincare course. Do you thoroughly clean your skin and wear sunscreen every day? Although you may not see immediate results, those small steps make a big difference over time.

Start early. If you are a teenager or a teenager at home, start developing healthy habits now. When you are older, you can still nourish, pamper, and protect your skin in the future.

Seek professional help with skin problems. Do not expect perfection of your skin, but do not hesitate to seek the help of a dermatologist to help your skin improve.

Wear sunscreen every day. In all seasons, cloudy or sunny, sun protection is essential. Make it a daily practice to protect your skin.
Do this again:

  • Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Wear wide-brimmed hats, long-sleeved shirts, and trousers.
  • Use plenty of sunscreens and apply them every two hours or more if you are swimming or sweating.
  • Use sunscreen with 30 or more sunscreen (SPF) and UVA and UVB protection.
  • Do not use drop beds. There is no such thing as a “safe tan.”
  • Wear sunscreen with a UPF (ultra protection factor) of 30 or higher.
  • Wear sunglasses that offer 100% UV protection or UV 400 protection.

Fundamentals of Skin Care

Your skin reflects your health. To take care of it, you need to develop healthy habits.

Stay clean. Wash your face twice a day – once in the morning and once at night before bed. After cleansing your skin, follow with a toner and moisturizer. Tones help to remove traces of oil, dirt, and cosmetics that you may not have noticed during cleaning. Look for moisturizers intended for your skin type – dry, normal, or oily. Yes, even oily skin can benefit from a moisturizer.

Block out the sun. Over time, exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun causes many changes in your skin:

  • Spots of years
  • Good growth (non-cancerous) like seborrheic keratosis
  • The color changes
  • Freckles
  • Cancer or cancerous growths such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma
  • Wrinkles
  • cerave hydrating cleanser
  • face moisturizer

Most skin cancers come from sunlight. Limit your time outside, especially between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Always wear a wide-spectrum sunscreen with a clear zinc oxide blocker and a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher. Wear protective clothing, such as a long-sleeved shirt, trousers, and a wide-brimmed hat.

Go to a specialist. No one has perfect skin. Yours may be dry or oily. Or you can get rashes and acne. Talk to a dermatologist, even a local esthetician or dermatologist, about more serious skin problems.
